9/6/2011 – Direct current, solar air conditioning systems are now available from 3600 BTU to 18000 BTU and can operate day and night directly from wind, solar PV and hydro with a battery bank. The 100% DC cooling systems range from a quarter to 1.5 Ton and are effective up to 800 square feet. All of the sustainable AC systems are powered by any renewable energy source are ideal for cooling electronics, off-grid applications, high energy cost environments and add-on/augmentation. The 1.5 ton heat pump circuit connection is 48 VDC at 32 amps maximum power draw. Non-ozone depleting 410A is the refrigerant for the ductless split with a single remote controlled air handler set up to receive 48 VDC through the outside compressor/condenser cabinet circuit.

Telecom Self-Contained DC 17000 T

The DC Comfort T Series Climate Control Unit is controlled by a thermostat that senses the internal enclosure temperature. When cooling is desired, the compressor, evaporator blower and condenser fan turn on. Cool air is discharged from the DC Comfort T Series into the enclosure.

Optimized battery management is included in every DC Comfort T Series system. The control board on the system monitors battery consumption and protects the components from over temperature through a low voltage disconnect.

Solar Dome

The Solar Dome is a frame-less structure consisting of aerospace composite panels. It has the strength of a standard building but the mobility of a tent. One Dome can be assembled by two people in less than four hours with nothing more than a screwdriver, wrench and step ladder.

When unassembled, the enclosure can fit into the back of a pickup truck, trailer or an 8'x8'x4' container and easily transported anywhere in the world. It can be repeatedly taken down and reassembled while retaining its structural integrity.
